Cruise Ship Jobs - TUI Cruises (Mein Schiff)

TUI Cruises is the new cruise brand for the German speaking region and a subdivision of TUI AG. TUI Cruises GmbH is a joint venture of TUI AG and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. The cruise line started business in 2009 with a concept similar to the one of AIDA Cruises, considering young couples and families the main target group. Instead of ordering and waiting two-three years for a new-bulid cruise ship, TUI Cruises started operations with the acquisition and conversion of the former MV Galaxy of Celebrity Cruises. The ship was converted for 50 Million Euro at Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven, Germany (upgrade of facilities and additional balconies fitted on existing outside cabins) and christened in Hamburg on May, 15th 2009 to the name Mein Schiff ("My Ship").

In February 2011 after extensive refurbishment another Century-class ship, Celebrity Mercury (renamed Mein Schiff 2) joined the fleet of TUI Cruises.

The first newbuild for TUI Criuses was delivered in 2014 - 97,000 GRT Mein Schiff 3. A sistership named Mein Schiff 4 was delivered by Meyer Turku Shipyard in Finland on 8 May, 2015.
