Cruise Ship Jobs - Compagnie Des Iles Du Ponant Yacht Cruises Jobs

 

   Compagnie Des Iles Du Ponant Cruises was established in 1998. The company started with just one vessel and has slowly grown over the years. Currently Compagnie Des Iles Du Ponant Cruises operates a fleet of three small cruise ships (yachts); Le Ponant, Le Levant and Le Diamant and two more vessels are joining the fleet in 2010 - Le Boreal and L' Austral. The Le Ponant has 32 fully equipped cabins and sails under the French Flag. It has crew of thirty people. There is a terrace lounge, a large lounge, dining rooms and a nightclub. The Le Levant has 45 fully equipped outside cabins, with two bars, a fitness center, a swimming pool, a large lounge and a boutique. It also sails under the French flag and has a crew of 55 members. The Le Diamant can accommodate 226 passengers. It has 4 bars, a lounge, a library, a swimming pool with sun deck, a massage room and a hospital with infirmary. All the yachts are equipped with telephone and satellite equipment.
The ships visit usually inaccessible by larger vessels places and ports. Destinations covered by Compagnie Des Iles Du Ponant Cruises are from the Adriatic to the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea and Aegean Sea, Indian Ocean/Red Sea, South America and Antarctica, Northern Europe, Scandinavia, Iceland and Greenland.

Le Ponant: France registered, built 1991, 1,489 gross tons, 64 passengers, 32 crew members.
Itineraries: India/Maldives out of Mumbai (Bombay) and Kochi - India, Male - Maldives; Seychelles out of Mahe; Persian Gulf/Holly Land out of Muscat - Oman, Dubai - UAE and Aqaba - Jordan; Mediterranean out of Alexandria - Egypt, Nice - France, Valetta - Malta, Barcelona - Spain, Venice and Naples - Italy.

 
     
Le Levant: France registered, built 1999, 3,504 gross tons, 90 passengers, 55 crew members.
Itineraries: Caribbean/Orinoco River out of Fort de France - Martinique; Mediterranean/Aegean out of Civitivecchia (Rome) and Venice - Italy, Nice - France, Piraeus (Athens) - Greece, Istanbul - Turkey; Adriatic Sea out of Venice - Italy; Black Sea out of Istanbul - Turkey.
 
     
Le Diamant (formerly Song Of Flower of Radisson Cruises): France registered, built 1986, 8,282 gross tons, 226 passengers, 120 crew members.
Itineraries: Antarctica out of Ushuaia - Argentina; South America out of Valparaiso - Chile; Panama Canal out of Manta - Ecuador; Transatlantic out of For de France - Martinique; Canary Islands/Northern Africa out of Las Palmas (Grand Canaria) - Spain; Mediterranean out of Marseille and Nice - France; Western/Northern Europe out of Honfleur - France; Scandinavia/Russia out of Stockholm - Sweden, Copenhagen - Denmark and Bodo - Norway; Iceland/Greenland out of Reykjavik - Iceland and Kangerlussuaq - Greenland; Aegean/Arabia out of Piraeus (Athens) - Greece.
