HVAC / Refrigeration Engineer Job Description and Duties:


Cruise ship HVAC engineer jobs

- Ensures that maintenance and repair of the ship's HVAC equipment/ system, domestic refrigeration plant, ventilation, cooling, freezing, provision, equipment, all air conditioning throughout the vessel are up to the cruise line's standards and international regulations

- The Refrigeration Engineer is carrying day-to-day maintenance and repair of the engine room and galley ventilation systems, multi-flow beverage machines, mini-bar units and ice making machines as directed by the Chief Refrigeration Engineer

- Inspects the cleanliness and safety of galley, laundry, and launderette exhaust ducts, and ensures that all required and necessary cleaning routines are properly executed

- Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in the coordination and control of the refrigeration accounts

- Responsible for keeping of temperature logs for freezers and cold rooms as required by USPH



HVAC / Refrigeration Engineer Job Requirements:

  • National diploma or certificate for Refrigeration Technician

  • Relevant work experience as refrigeration engineer/technician

  • Experience aboard ships is preferred, but not manadatory

  • Good verbal and written command of the English language


HVAC / Refrigeration Engineer Salary Range:


$4600 - 5600 U.S. per month and up depending on the cruise line. Possibilities for promotion to Chief Refrigeration Engineer position.
