Teen CounselorDescription: Our cruise opportunities are ideal for anyone with a passion for travel and working with children. There are excellent opportunities available for seasonal and long term work whilst travelling to some of the world’s most exciting destinations. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Assist the Youth Director/Officer in the day-to-day operations of the Youth Department. Assist in the distribution of the activity schedule or any other printed information, as advised by the shoreside Passenger Programmes Department, for approval by the Cruise Director. Assist the Youth Director/Officer in providing a continual presence in the Youth Department. Participate in all activities, (including in port baby sitting onboard Ocean Village), and maintain the Company-required ratios. Alert the Youth Director/Officer to any necessary repairs to equipment in the Youth Department for corrective action. Help monitor the stock of Youth Staff supplies and alert the Youth Director/Officer to shortfalls so the Youth Director can submit a Company-issued indent. Maintain a safe environment in the Youth Department as well as at all scheduled youth activities. Take an active part in the safety procedures onboard complying with Fleet Safety regulations, including the mustering of passengers in drills and actual emergencies. Comply with uniform policy and dress code for both the day and evening times. Perform any tasks deemed necessary by the Youth Director/Officer for the implementation of the Youth Programme. Inform the Youth Director of all parental questions and concerns regarding the Youth Department in a timely manner. Monitor passenger reactions to programmed youth events and report the level of success to the Youth Activities Co-ordinator in a timely manner. - 10 hours a day 7 days a week for tour of duty - Shared cabin up to 4 people - All accommodation costs, uniform & meals provided - Seasonal and full time positions available - Must have relevant qualifications/degree in sports, education, performing arts etc Successful candidates must go through an enhanced CRB, full medical and training including first aid prior to employment. Requirements: Education: Educated to a degree level Experience: Ideally have 2 years experience in the field of youth care, recreation or teaching. Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills. Must be articulate and have strong performance ability. Should have an impeccable appearance. Apply |
