There are a wide range of systems onboard that you will be responsible for maintaining, everything from inventory systems to point of sales machines, reservation systems and the Internet and business centre areas.
You will usually have an assistant but you will be the one to problem solve most issues so a strong general background is essential.
You will manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, Wireless Access Points and UPSs. Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs. Ensure satellite network connectivity whenever possible, monitor the status of the satellite equipment and liaise with vendors for upgrades, installs, modifications and servicing.
This is a permanent position that requires you to be away for six months at a time, then home for two months and back again. With 18 ships in their fleet this cruise line offers exceptional itineraries all over the world. Interested candidates must have excellent all rounded computer experience, customer service skills.
