Youth Counselor – Children/Teen Animation
Description:
We are looking for a Youth Counselor – Children/Teen Animation (m/f) for Norwegian Cruise Line with international guests and great itineraries throughout the world.
Skills & Education: You should have a minimum of two years experience in the recreation/ education industry working with children and/or teens ages 2-17. You must have specific expertise in the field of recreational administration, or early childhood education.
You should be extrovert, quick and a critical thinker, witty, and articulate as well as service oriented & have the ability to take direction.
You should be able to adapt to confined and sometimes limited living conditions for extended periods of time. In addition flexibility in terms of last minute changes in itineraries, activities, events and schedules is a must. Proficiency in: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
Fluent German and English are required - any additional language would be a plus.
Duties & Responsibilities Under the direction of the Youth Program Supervisor, the Youth Counselor / Children Animation is responsible for the supervision of all youth and teen programs as it relates to the Passenger Programs and Entertainment Department.
As a member of the Cruise Staff, you are responsible to assist in leading any of the scheduled social, entertainment or recreational activities, ensuring that each event takes place safely and promptly as scheduled.
You are responsible for assisting in the storage, inventory and ordering of all equipment, supplies, gifts, and prizes which are specifically utilized in the youth/teen program.
You must be accessible and approachable with the guests and capable of being a patient listener while making the guests feel at home.
Contract length approx. 6 month * Salary paid in US-Dollar *Valid passport and C1D Visa for the US is required.
