Description:
Assistant Maître D' (m/f) for luxury 5* Cruise Line; Duties: supervise all food and beverage service function - responsible for all dining venue set ups - responsible for opening and closing of all dining outlets - responsible for the supervision of all dining room brigades during service - responsible for training the brigade to the service hospitality standards
Requirements:
possess a diploma from a recognised hotel school or university
minimum of three years experience as Assistant Maitre d’ Hotel or equal offshore with international clientele, or minimum of service of two years on board a 4/5-star ship
strong leadership and motivational skills
needs to be very service and quality orientated
strong ability for building interpersonal relationships with the guests
effective planner and organiser
effective planner and organiser
strong team building abilities
strong command of English language combined with good verbal and written skills
another foreign language such as German, French, Spanish and Italian would be an advantage
