Merchandise Hostess – Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

JOB OVERVIEW: The role of the Merchandise Hostess Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique will play the role of a “Fairy Godmother in Training” to magically transform guests into a princess, knight and/or pirate within the onboard Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique/Pirate’s League. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique/Pirate’s League provides an especially unique experience for our guests, including children.</p>
<p>
Daily responsibilities of the Fairy Godmother in Training include spending 45 minutes (on average) with each child, ages 3 to 12 years old. This period of time includes makeup, hair, nails, costume, etc. A parent/guardian must be present at all times when the little guest is being transformed into a princess. On Pirate’s Night onboard Disney Cruise Line, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique transforms into the Pirate’s League. The Fairy Godmothers in Training are taken over by “Pirate Masters.” The offerings are then extended to adult guests, ages 3 to 333. There are no adult costumes available, however, we do offer face painting, empress makeover for the ladies/girls, and there are also take-away packages available for sale.</p>
<p>
Most scheduled work time will be in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. However, there is the possibility of shifts spent in the Merchandise shops. This will vary depending on the business need and duties will include proactively selling ship/island merchandise in fixed and mobile retail locations (product focus could include but is not limited to DCL specialty merchandise, onboard art program, duty free products, jewelry, and princess, knight and/or pirate makeover experiences); supporting daily promotions such as purchase with purchase and special events or themed activities; assisting with price adjustments, floor moves, and receiving merchandise stock; consistently ensuring sales targets are met and/or exceeded.</p>
<p>
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Successful candidates will have experience with hair or makeup application (Cosmetology experience is a plus) or related experience, in addition to sales/retail experience. Candidates must be able to successfully play a role of a character, and follow a story line at all times. The role of the Fairy Godmother in Training is what makes Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique so special.</p>
<p>
Contract length for this position is 6 months onboard, 2 months vacation. Must be willing to share a cabin with another crew member.</p>
