Job Description: Operational / Travelling Executive Chef - International Cruise Line Good Day! We have a new exciting role! We are currently recruiting for an Operational Executive Chef for an International Cruise Line, to be part office based in the UK and part ship based. Please see the details below:

• Salary – up to £41K GBP per annum

• Office part based in the UK

• Some Tax may be claimed back but this is not guaranteed (This depends on the amount of time shipboard )

• Involves Travelling from ship to ship

• Start date – asap

• 30% Office based in the UK

• The successful candidate must be willing to live in the UK

Job Overview:

To provide operational culinary support and expertise in a multi brand environment, as directed by the Culinary Manager and GM F&B. Capable of supporting a cluster of ships in all aspects of culinary operations and to establish a strong working relationship with the Exec Chefs onboard and be their first point of contact for culinary specialist queries that cannot be resolved by the onboard management. Execute food quality assurance and assist in food cost/quality issues, ship visits, audits, assist with galley HR challenges and with skills development. To practically implement new menu and concept rollouts and be the conduit to collect menu feedback from ships and relay to/from the development chef. Achieved by travelling onboard for approx 70% of the time and 30% in office.

The position involves travelling between the ships focusing on:

• Training

• Quality Control

• Menu design

• Improving standards across the fleet

• Managing a number of ships across the fleet

The ideal candidate would be an experienced Executive Chef from the Ships who is now looking for an Operational role which is part land based in the UK. This position can offer a fantastic career path.

Current Cruise Ship experience is ideal. Previous 4* / 5* Hotel experience required with large volume banqueting experience.

At least 3 years experience as an Executive Chef on Cruise Lines or large 4* / 5* Resort or Hotels.

This is both an office based and travelling role so successful candidates must be flexible on travel as well as be willing to work in the UK.

Interviews are taking place in the UK so successful candidates must be willing to travel to the UK for an interview at their own expense if required.
