Assistant Maitre D’Hotel


Reporting to the Maitre D’Hotel, as Assistant Maitre D’Hotel you will supervise all Food & Beverage service functions, which include the Veranda Café, Restaurants and Room Service. Supervising and training both waiters and utilities is also required. You will also be responsible for all dining venue set ups, supervising dining room brigades during service and controlling breakage.

You will need to possess a diploma from a recognised UK/European hotel school or university or equivalent as well as substantial experience as Assistant Maitre D’Hotel either on board a 4/5 star vessel or off shore with international clientele. Human Resources training is also required combined with knowledge of basic budgeting techniques and financial analysis. You’ll also have a good command of English, with excellent verbal and written communication.
