Fleet Safety Trainer

With overall responsibility for conducting and evaluating all fleet safety training, ensuring that our colleagues on board work and behave safely with the necessary skills to conduct prompt, safe and sustainable emergency responses.

This exciting, yet challenging position will test the most competent of experienced trainers. As a Fleet Safety Trainer you will ultimately be responsible for delivering our HESS Culture focusing on our safety commitment (Health, Environment, Safety & Security) providing safety induction and refresher training onboard which will include: occupational health and safety and legislative and operational performance requirements within the Carnival UK Fleet.

You will look to work collaboratively with the shore based training team to maintain and improve standards, ensuring all training is engaging, interesting and fit for purpose. As a Fleet Safety Trainer you will play an integral part of promoting safer working and behaviours onboard our iconic ships safety.

Requirements:

To apply for the role of Fleet Safety Trainer you will need to have:

- Previous experience in a safety training role, ideally within the Maritime industry
- A recognised trainer qualification or equivalent
- Understanding of STCW & IMO model courses and cruise ship safety
- Experience on board a cruise ship is not essential. We believe in hiring people with the right attitudes and strengths over their competencies.

In addition to a strong training background, you will be naturally organised, and able to stay calm under pressure and take the initiative when required. You will take pride in your work, strive for high standards, and show integrity in your work.
