America's Test Kitchen Host
The cruise line, in collaboration America's Test Kitchen, is offering a series of engaging and inspiring demonstrations and hands-on workshops to teach the fundamental principles of cooking using America's Test Kitchen's innovative and time-tested methods. We are seeking enthusiastic hosts to oversee the successful shipboard execution of the partnership as well as serve as the guest facing voice and face of the program!
Paid training and a deep dive into the ATK experience will be held onsite at the ATK offices in Brookline MA.

About America’s Test Kitchen
America’s Test Kitchen is a real place: a no-nonsense, fully equipped test kitchen located in Brookline, Massachusetts where a team of highly qualified test cooks and editors perform thousands of tests every year. The goal? To develop the best recipes and cooking techniques, recommend the best cookware and equipment, and rate brand-name pantry staples for home cooks, which are published in our two magazines, Cook’s Illustrated and Cook’s Country, in our growing line of cookbooks and special interest magazines, and on our websites, as well as featured on our public television series, America’s Test Kitchen and Cook’s Country from America’s Test Kitchen. We are devoted to a collegial approach to cooking—teams of editors, writers, and cooks engage in side-by- side comparisons, blind taste tests, and rigorous equipment tests to determine which is the best way to roast a chicken, which pans work and which ones don’t, which brand of ketchup tastes best, and so on.
What we’re looking for:
Passionate cooks who are either graduates of culinary arts programs or have 4 years professional restaurant experience and a love for performing in front of large, diverse groups. Our best cooks are analytical, methodical, and curious. Excellent communication skills are a must, as is the ability to distill information into nuggets that will resonate with the typical home cook. Must be able to follow recipes and scripts as written and adhere to a highly structured lesson plan/class format. Hosts will be expected to provide real no-nonsense cooking advice and be able to answer “on brand” off the cuff questions such as:
- Do I need to follow the recipe? Yes!
- Can I substitute ingredients? No!
