Florists are responsible for managing and operating the flower shop and maintaining the live plants (if there are any), indoor and outdoor, on board the ship. He/she places order requisitions of fresh flowers and supply for upcoming voyages according to his/her assigned ships flower set up and budget; creates fresh flower arrangements and delivers them in a timely manner to guest staterooms and public areas; and cleans and maintains silk flowers (if there are any). Florists may also be assigned to perform all administrative and clerical functions for the Housekeeping department.


* Minimum of one to two years previous experience as a florist, preferably in an upscale hotel, resort or cruise line (shipboard experience preferred).

* Completion of basic education equivalency required.

* Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests.

* All international applicants must have the ability to obtain C1/D visa (and other relevant visas) when applicable.

* Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training.
