Bar Waiter-Bar Waitress



-Co-responsible for the entire bar and lounge area, including:
- Implementation and maintaining of the company standards and budgets in the bar department
- Daily set-up (mise-en-place)
- Preparing and serving beverages in a professional manner, following predefined recipes and standards
- Checking and maintaining organization of the bar’s inventory, as per company’s directives
- Storing of the bar stock and supplies
- Proper handling of all beverages and food in the bar area, as well as all products and equipment in the bar department
- Providing professional service of beverages and/or food in the bar, restaurant, lounge and on the sun deck
- Maintaining cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene of the entire bar and lounge area, certain areas on the sun deck, back offices, pantries and work rooms
- Cleaning of the bar glassware, china and cutlery
- Assisting with the loading of the ship’s supplies
- Assisting with the organization, realization and supervision of food & beverage activities
- Assisting in the restaurant during meal times
- Participating in onboard training
- Performing various preparatory duties prior to and at the end of the season
- Assisting with luggage handling if necessary, as per supervisor’s directives
- Assisting in other departments if necessary, as per supervisor’s directives



- English and/or German spoken
- Must have completed some formal training (school)
- 2 years of professional experience as a waiter/waitress
