Maitre d'Hotel-Luxury Cruise Ship
Reports to: Hotel Director / Food & Beverage Manager. Objective: To ensure the ultimate luxury cruise experience for guests within Food & Beverage.
Responsibilities: Efficient, courteous and technically excellent food and beverage service across all areas of the vessel; Positive food and beverage area ambiance; Training, coaching, and retaining qualified staff; Leading staff to superior levels of performance; Safe professional and personal practices and effective business processes.
Job Skills: Strong leadership skills and practice "leadership by example" Ability to work with international crew. Professional appearance and excellent social skills.
Education/Experience: 5 years of experience of managing large outlets, or many small outlets with an international team, to a high fine dining level.
Degree in Hospitality Management is preferred.
Computer Skills: Strong knowledge of Word, Excel and outlook are necessary. Experience with Fidelio, Micros and MXP are highly advantageous.
Language Requirement: Fluent English, plus a minimum of one of the following: French, German, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese
