Business Systems Analyst


The Business Systems Analyst role is to support, assist in design, and administer the corporate applications. Work closely with various project stakeholders, SMEs, and staff to understand and document business requirements, functional requirements, and design specifications for new applications along with enhancements to the existing applications. Research, create, review, and revise requirements documents and use cases. Rendered support throughout the project’s lifecycle including: development of project scope; collection and documentation of business requirements, preparation of related process documentation, preparation of change control documentation, and coordination of user acceptance testing.

• Train and support the internal and external corporate users on new and existing functionality
• Design Troubleshooting roadmaps to facilitate user support for corporate applications
• Identify and resolve system issues in collaboration with stakeholders, management, developers and end-users
• Experience with configuring and managing applications according to the business needs
• Troubleshoot existing applications and manage resolution with internal and external resources
• Proactive team player with problem solving attitude
• Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved
• Prioritize, schedule, and administer all instances where enhancements and defect resolution are required
• Adept at preparing business requirements documents, defining project plans, writing system requirements specifications, and delivering project/status reports on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments
• Exceptional analysis skills with an ability to transform the needs of business users and stakeholders into Functional/Technical specifications and Test scripts
• Proven track record in managing projects through the entire lifecycle, from inception to post deployment
• Cultivate, disseminate, and enforce functional policies, procedures, and quality assurance best practices
• Implement and facilitate Ticket request procedures pursuant to the corporate software development life cycle
• Manage application issues and requests, and compliment user tickets with detailed information
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a results-oriented attitude
• Liaise with network administrators and software developers to assist with deployments and migrations
• Assist in defining project plans, including scoping, scheduling, testing and implementation
• Familiar with testing tools to design and develop test plans/scripts to facilitate Quality Assurance


System Experience
• Accounting General Ledger systems such as Great Plains and PN3
• Ticket/issue tracking such as JIRA
• Logistics/Supply chain system
• Web applications based on the latest .NET framework
