Electrical EngineerDescription: As the Electrical Engineer, you will serve an important role in maintaining and repairing electrical installations as directed by the Chief Electrical Engineer. Career snapshot: • Responsible for the maintenance of various installations, including, but not limited to, emergency/auxiliary generators, systems, and switchboards; stabilizers; fire alarm systems, including fire door control system and fire dampers; watertight doors control system; side shell doors; water fog system; CO2 system; lifeboats, and rescue boats – electrical installations; mooring, winches, and anchor winches; deck cranes and lifting devices, platform lifts (engine / provision / deck store); potable water treatment system; dumb lifts, earth fault surveillance system; and camera surveillance system • Accountable for the maintenance of all electrical items from galley, sound and light, staterooms, crew cabins, and public areas up to the Distribution Cabinet, including the distribution board Requirements: Requirements: • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or international equivalent • Hold a valid Maritime Electrical Officer License • Extensive experience working large electrical plants onboard ships or in offshore installations • Completion of Basic Safety Training and Advanced Fire Fighting training courses in accordance with STCW • Excellent communication skills in addition to a strong command of the English language • Solid computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) • All international applicants must have the ability to obtain C1/D visa (and other relevant visas) when applicable • Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training Preferences: • Experience working on cruise ships • Experience with high voltage and/or valid high voltage certification • Familiarity with AMOS Maintenance Systems, Autronica Fire Alarm Systems, ABB Cycloconverter Propulsion System, Cegelec Diesel Electric Propulsion, Valmarine XDi Damatic System, Litton/Sperry/Decca Navigation Equipment, McGregor Elevators, Schindler Elevators, and Norcontrol Systems Apply |
