Director Marketing ServicesDescription: SUMMARY Oversee the development and execution of marketing programs in support of the NCL brand. Lead the team of individuals responsible for the creation, production and distribution of marketing materials for all internal departments and all ships. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to the Marketing Services team. Establish process, procedures and controls to ensure all projects are efficient and effective use of the company’s marketing spend. Ensure all projects are completed on time and on budget at a high quality standard. Guide department units corporate-wide on best ways to communicate messaging using current resources and offline techniques, while aiming to move into online communications, whenever possible. Provide support and direction to department units requiring creative services including projects for ship inaugurals and media promotions, onboard casinos and advertising materials, employee communications and training, onboard revenue promotional materials, shore excursions, welcome aboard booklets, bar and restaurant materials. Ensure 100% accuracy of content as well as complete adherence to brand guidelines on all materials. Monitor and analyze existing vendor relationships to identify efficiencies and potential cost savings in printing, fulfillment, distribution and warehousing. Monitor design firm estimates and project hours, as well as estimates generated internally. Develop strong working relationships with other departments throughout the organization, acting as brand champion, encouraging adherence to brand messaging/creative in all communication materials, helping to manage department units’ marketing budgets as well. Manage and maintain accountability for development, distribution of resources, reporting, approvals and monitoring of budget for Marketing Services group along with budgets assigned to Marketing Services from other departments. Maintain effective responsibility for the employment, performance evaluation, training, motivation and counseling of assigned team. Perform other job related functions as assigned. EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education. EXPERIENCE Minimum 10-15 years experience in marketing, advertising planning, development and creation. Minimum 5-10 years of managerial experience in a marketing setting. 8-10 years ad agency experience in account management preferred. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Solid domain knowledge of marketing strategies and industry. Excellent negotiation and account management skills at a high-level. Strategic thinking skills to organize and forecast departmental goals. Strong business development and budgeting skills. Developed planning and marketing skills. Intermediate to advanced level working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Excellent written command of English language to proof-read and develop marketing materials for in-house and external corporate projects. Effective written and verbal communication skills to deliver presentations, express recommendations, solutions and work with internal and external contacts. Interpersonal skills to work successfully in a team-based environment. Leadership skills to manage team effectively with ability to coach and develop team members accordingly. Ability to manage team deliverables in close alignment with overall marketing objectives.
