Gift Shop Manager


The Gift Shop Manager is successful by leading a team in presenting a unique retail experience at sea in line with the Company's brand strategy, enhanced with excellent customer service, while achieving or exceeding budgeted financial goals.

Job Description

Areas of responsibility:

* Lead Merchandise team as well as training and orienting new hires (i.e. Guest service and recovery, product information, security procedures, etc.)
* Assume responsibility for the shop’s smooth and effective operation; determine extended hours to meet Guest needs, proper staffing levels; supervise team and perform sales duties when shops are busy
* Inspect shops on a regular basis to ensure that merchandise is properly labeled, well-displayed, point-of-sale promotions are in place, and the shops are clean and orderly
* Ensure accuracy of inventory management

Job requirements:

* Minimum five years retail experience
* Minimum three years management experience
* Ship and/or duty free experience preferred
* Specialized experience with Disney products preferred
* Visual merchandising experience a plus
* Accounting skills preferred
* Accounting background necessary
* Ability to demonstrate a passion and strong, ongoing focus towards exceeding Guest satisfaction and sales goals in order to exceed incentive targets which impacts the individual, team and overall department success
* Good computer skills
* Inventory management and knowledge
