Chief Purser for Luxury Cruise Line
Description:
Chief purser required for a luxury cruise line.
Salary: $5,800USD+ per month onboard plus vacation pay
Contract: Approx 4 months onboard followed by 2 months vacation prior to new contract being offered.
Itinerary: Worldwide
Overall requirements
- Several years experience on medium sized ships working as Chief Purser ideally in a similar style company
- Ideally additional past experience as Crew Purser who covered crew payroll which was generated onboard (not shore-side).
- Ideally worked in the Premium or Luxury market
- Covered an international Itinerary and been the main person responsible for clearance of the ship for guests and crew
- Good accounting experience.
- Used to dealing with guests and guest enquiries
- Used to managing and overseeing onboard Concessions
- Strong working knowledge of ship and the various depts.
- Ability to deputize on behalf of GM as needed
- Computer literate – Word/excel/Fidelio/MXP/and similar
- Good written and spoken English
- Positive personality, able to Host tables and socialize at required level for this position
- Excellent communication skills.
