Kuna Indian photographed by Crystal Cruises crew member on San Blass Islands

Crystal Cruises crew member has taken this photo of a of a female Kuna Indian dressed in traditional attire taken on San Blas Islands archipelago off the east coast of Panama while ship' repositioning from Caribbean to Alaska via Panama Canal. Although not a regular cruise ship destination San Blas islands are occasionally visited by ships and crew members not on duty could explore the rural lifestyle of the local population of Kuna Indians. Once the anchor is dropped, the ship gets immediately surrounded by an army of hand made (out of single piece of wood) canoes full of colourfully dressed locals asking for coins. Coins thrown from the ship drop in the water, but are immediately retrieved by free-diving kids.
