A night shot of Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur taken by Cunard Line crew member.

This night photograph of Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia has been taken by a Cunard Line crew member when Queen Mary 2 visited Port Klang.

Working for Cunard Line is considered a privilege - a cruise line with over a century and a half history as a shipping company which currently operates 3 luxury cruise vessels - Queen Mary 2 (voted as the best large cruise ships), Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria. Carnival Corporation acquired Cunard in 1998 and today the company is operated by Carnival UK,
based at Carnival House in Southampton, England.

All three ships of the company are offering world cruises, therefore crew members can not complain about boring itineraries. The only routine voyages (repeated ports) are the Trans-Atlantic crossings of Queen Mary 2 between Southampton and New York City.

Kuala Lumpur is accessible for exploration by cruise ship crew members via Port Klang where all ships dock at the international cruise terminal. The distance to Kuala Lumpur is about 40 km. and there are regular bus services between both cities. There are several landmarks in KL, the most famous being the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers.  Eligible crew members should consider joining a passenger tour to Kuala Lumpur as an escort (assisting passengers and evaluating the performance of the local tour guide).
