Carnival Cruise Lines won’t welcome a new ship for a few years still, but the Miami-based cruise line has already given the Carnival Vista - the new ship of Carnival Cruise Lines.4,000-passenger vessel a name.

Carnival Vista, the cruise operator’s largest ship yet, will launch in 2016.

Gerry Cahill, Carnival’s president and CEO, announced the name over the weekend to media aboard the Carnival Sunshine on a sailing in Europe. That ship, formerly called the Carnival Destiny, recently got a major overhaul.

Carnival has previously said that the 135,000-ton vessel, from shipbuilder Fincantieri in Italy, will be a new class. It will be the cruise line’s 25th ship and will include new Vista-only features as well as many of the “Fun Ship 2.0” additions that were first announced in late 2011. Those new venues and attractions include Guy’s Burger Joint from chef Guy Fieri; interactive Hasbro game shows and a host of original bars and lounges, though the cruise line has not said which will be included on the newest ship.

The home port and itinerary for Carnival Vista have not yet been announced.
