Responsibility and Authority

- Responsible for safe and efficient operation of the machinery and equipment for which he/she has been allocated responsibility.
- Understand and comply with all relevant sections of the Company's policies and management system.
- Routine checks and maintenance of tenders, lifeboats and rescue boats with reference to engines, steering gears, fuel system and lube oil filters
- Assist the operation of tenders, lifeboats and rescue boat whenever they are lowered to the sea.
- General daily check and maintenance of pre-chlorination and post-chlorination.
- Daily check and maintenance of chlorine levels in the potable water tanks and chlorine chart recorders, including maintenance of records.
- Drain swimming pools, Thalasso and Jacuzzis in late evening and refilling in early morning. Check and maintain chlorination system to the pools including maintenance of records.
- Repair and maintenance of hydraulic equipment and valves.
- Implement all safe working practices in all tasks, including proper use of watertight doors, handling of chemical products and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Any additional duties as directed by the First Engineer.
- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and Experience

- Experience on vessels in equivalent position.
- Knowledge of the Company SMS.
- Skills including but not limited to:
- Team Work
- Engine Room Experience
