Relief Retail Manager Role On A 5* Cruise Liner

Role: Relief Retail Manager
Company: A 5* Cruise Line company – LUSH
Website: On application…you will LOVE it
Rotation: 2 months as Assistant Retail Manager and 2 months as Retail Manager then 2 months’ vacation…then back around again.
Salary: $3975US per month TAX FREE– paid 12 months of the year = $47,700US per annum TAX FREE
Bonus: YES! Commission structure to be shared on application
Berthing: Single cabin all year round…smaller cabin when Assistant Manager and larger when Manager
Start date: Pronto! (if you are currently shipboard, please let me know your date of vacation and when you will be back home, thanks)
Required: You to pass a ships medical, source required visa’s, police check and references too.
Flights: Provided both ways FREE by the host company.

The BRILLIANT Role:

Working 7 days a week for your 4 month contract you will rotate through the Assistant Manager and Manager role during your time at sea on-board. You will be accountable for the retail function at sea and also a small F&B deli outlet too. This position is demanding and working long hours; sometimes it can be up to 14 hours a day. You will be expected to be a whizz at admin to create and disseminate reports for the ship and head office too. You will be able to sell ice to the Eskimo’s in a charming and courteous way…not in a pushy or ‘squeezing’ style. Your merchandising talents will WOW the guests on-board and really promote, show-off and sell the goods. Your creative juices will enjoy presenting new styles in the retail outlets to entice and invite the guests into the store and attract them to buy. The position demands a candidate whom is regulated at stock-control, whom is very tidy and able to know their retail-cupboards inside and out. You will know FIFO like the back of your hand. There will be ‘lifting’ in this job, so your physical strength will be ‘very fit’ to carry boxes, trunks and other merchandise on and off from the ship. Leading a team of up to 4 in the department (when in the number one role) you will be a positive motivator able to light the fire within your colleagues…rather than underneath them. Your service recovery will be POSITIVE and CARING where you will be able to turn-around a challenge situation into a SHOPPING ADVOCATE. You will pass a background check and reference check with ease with no naughty episodes or skeletons in the closets!

Requirements:

Your SUPERB Background
You will be currently be a Retail Manager on-board a 5* cruise ship / mega yacht (perhaps Crystal, Seabourn, Oceania, Regent)…or working in a very salubrious land-based retail outlet with high-value jewellery, watches, products and merchandise (Harrods, Selfridges, Graff). You will have experience of trunk shows and dealing with very expensive items up to the value of $100,000’s of dollars! Your CV will be simply SPARKLING and will be a clear representation of you as a professional with high attention to detail, evidence of sales success and achievement and with all current contact details on; including your Skype ID. You will have had experience of dealing with high-luxury brands…which could include Rolex, Chopard, Lalique. You will of course know the 4C’s when it comes to jewellery and be as equally at ease to sell a logo t-shirt as well as a $150,000US diamond ring. Your admin skills will be second to none and your focus on service excellence a natural talent. Immaculate in your appearance and an ambassador for the company, you will have a great presence in the room and ooze quality, style and panache. You will LOVE guest service and going above and beyond to offer a FABULOUS experience to all whom purchase, browse or window-shop will be innate.
