Description:

Job Summary & Responsibilities:
• Bunkering and Manning of HFO, MDO, LO operations
• HFO, MDO, LO purifiers maintenance
• H.F.O., Diesel, Oil and Sludge Transfer Pumps and related systems
• Log Abstracts, HFO / MDO / LO consumption analysis calculation
• Bilge Water Separator and ancillary equipment
• Shell Door Hydraulic Systems
• Stabilizers
• Thrusters
• Azipod Systems (Propulsion, Steering and Controls) (where Applicable)
• Steering Gear (where Applicable)
• Controllable pitch propellers (where Applicable)
• CO2/Halon System • Watertight and Semi Watertight Doors (Splash Doors)
• Quick Closing Valve System and related Emergency Shut Down
• Electric Propulsion Motors (Mechanical Component) (where applicable)
• Propeller shaft (Bearings, Seals, SKF coupling, etc;) (where applicable)
• Fire System (fire pumps and hydrants)
• Boiler and Steam Plant
• Steam Plant outside Engine Room
• Economizer and ancillary equipment
• Chemical analysis and treatment of Boiler Water
o Cooling Water
o Air Conditioning preheating and reheating Water
• Potable water distribution and bunkering/production treatment and analysis
• Carry out the Engine watch with particular attention to:
o Main Engines functions and operation
o Auxiliary Engines functions and operation
o Power generation function and operations
o Operation of all M/E and A/E ancillary equipment (Only CE Class)
o Operation of all M/E and P/G ancillary equipment (Only FASPDE Class)
o Purification system
o Conditions of bilges and bilges tanks
o Piping integrity
o Provide continuous supervision to systems in temporary operation
o Ensure safety measures are implemented and functional
o Participate in drills and training as required by the Company
Ensure that all machinery assigned are in working order and in compliance with Environmental, Health, and
Safety procedures, ensures maintenance is carried out at due intervals in accordance with planned
maintenance and service requirements and all related logs and records are updated.
o Reports any abnormal condition of the machinery assigned.
o Any additional assignment as per Chief Engineer discretion
o Ensure that all aspects of company’s OH&S are effectively applied during his/her working activities.

Requirements:

• Nautical High School Diploma
• IMO Certificate, Regulation III/2, SECOND ENGINEER OFFICER on ships powered by main propulsion machinery of 3000 kw or more
• STCW training certificates
• Security Awareness certificate
• Survival Craft Operator Certificat
